Auditions for our November 2026 production have been announced.

The Society is staging April Phillips’ hilarious play “STiFF.” This play, directed by Annette Plumpton and John Watson will be on stage between 19th and 28th November 2026 at the Te Aroha Little Theatre. 

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE TE AROHA LITTLE THEATRE AT 2PM ON SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST























The plot:
Angel and her team of girls (including an obsessive compulsive transvestite named Delilah) run an undercover massage parlour in a funeral home, keeping up appearances despite the prying of disgruntled former employee Mr Swipe who felt he should have inherited the business. Suspenders, death by misadventure and unorthodox embalming techniques feature in this hilarious, quickfire comedy. Rude not crude, cheeky not vulgar. It's a modern farce with lots of great characters but definitely not suitable for children. Auditions for eight characters (4 women and ideally 4 men) will occur at 2pm on Sunday 2nd August at the Te Aroha Little Theatre.
The cast:
•    Angel Delight - A prostitute (the lead role) 
•    Robert Swipe - A funeral director of 25 years’ experience. 
•    Delilah (AKA Del) - An obsessive, compulsive cleaning transvestite aged 40+ 
•    Roxanne Paine (AKA Rox) - A dominatrix 
•    Sherry - A prostitute, quietly spoken, totally dizzy, not too bright
•    Mrs Beaton  - A widow with an attitude 
•    Lawyer 
•    Judge Beaton
